The Water and Chestnut Trail runs through the Cinque Fonti Cycling Theme Park in Canistro. The circular route is approximately 11 km long.
Starting from the main square in Canistro, we'll pass through centuries-old chestnut groves and stop in the "La Sponga" Natural Park. Here, we'll relax among lakes, waterfalls, and streams, surrounded by meadows and woods offering picturesque views. The natural setting intertwines with a rural atmosphere rooted in ancient traditions.
Not far away, we'll visit the historic village of Canistro Superiore, where we'll have the opportunity to enter the Sanctuary of the Fonticella. The trail concludes with the final stretch, characterized by a steeper descent, which will bring us back to the starting point.
